Our Practices:
Hair Clippings: we donate 95% of all hair that gets cut at our salon. Hair that is long enough for wig-making gets donated to wigs for kids through our stylist ambassador Barrie. The rest gets sent in to greencirclesalons to be turned into mats for oil spills, compost, or bio-composite plastic.
Foils and Metals: did you know that aluminum is infinitely recyclable? we send in all of our highlighting foils, cans, aerosols, metal color tubes, and canisters to greencirclesalons to be sorted, melted down, and repurposed… infinitely.
left over hair color: what is left in the color bowl no longer goes down the drain or in to the trash. These chemicals now get sent in to GreenCircleSalons to be neutralized and turned in to energy.
Clics: the system automatically modifies the amount used during the application in the guest profile to avoid over mixing and wasting color on subsequent appointments. BONUS: All color canisters are recyclable.
Product lines: Most of our stylists have committed to using eco-conscious product lines. That means everything down to the packaging has been considered.
